CPC Delegation Visits Trinidad and Tobago
March 21, 2024Huang Xiaowei, Member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Vice-President and First Member of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation (ACWF), led a CPC delegation during its visit to Trinidad and Tobago from March 17 to 19. Huang met Nigel de Freitas, President of the Senate, Bridgid Annisette-George, Speaker of the House, Camille Robinson-Regis, Vice-President of the People's Movement Party, and Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Political Leader of the United National Congress.
Huang outlined Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and she discussed with representatives of Trinidad and Tobago measures to implement important consensus reached by State leaders of the two countries, and deepen communications among the political parties. Huang also explained the progress China has made in the development of women, children and families.
Representatives of Trinidad and Tobago said they are willing to work with China on high-quality development of the Belt and Road, and to enhance cooperation among the parties and women.
